DTC P0341: CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT (BANK 2) Jaguar S-type I

Note. Bank 1 is located on right side of engine. Bank 2 is located on left side of engine.

  1. Turn ignition off. Inspect left Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor for correct installation. For location (Схема №2)or (Схема №3). Repair as necessary and retest system. If CMP sensor is installed correctly, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect CMP sensor harness connector. Measure resistance between CMP sensor terminals. If resistance is 200-400 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 200-400 ohms, replace CMP sensor and retest system.
  3. Check continuity between ground and CMP sensor harness connector Brown/Yellow wire. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open signal ground circuit and retest system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  4. Disconnect PCM harness connectors. (Схема №5) Check continuity of White/Black wire between CMP sensor harness connector and PCM harness connector PI-1 terminal No. 53. (Схема №6) If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in White/Black wire and retest system.
  5. Check continuity between ground and CMP sensor harness connector White/Black wire. If continuity exists, repair short to ground and retest system. If continuity does not exist, go to next step.
  6. Disconnect the following harness connectors: Right CMP sensor. Both front heated oxygen sensors. Engine oil temperature sensor. Engine fuel temperature sensor. Cylinder head temperature sensor (V6 models). Engine coolant temperature sensor (V8 models). Injector pressure sensor. Throttle position sensor. Check continuity between ground and right CMP sensor harness connector Brown/Yellow wire. If continuity exists, repair short to ground in signal ground circuit and retest system. If continuity does not exist, replace PCM and retest system.
