Timing Chain Tensioner Chrysler Crossfire I final

1. Install the timing chain tensioner. Tighten tensioner to 80 N.m (59 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the generator. Refer to «INSTALLATION»(ref-306587-S33009432862008121700000) .

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(ref-306586-S31939057842008121700000) .
3. Remove the engine cover. See «REMOVAL»(ref-306563-S23334034382008121700000) .
4. Remove the radiator fan. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-306586-S04065330562008121700000) .
5. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-306586-S22742124262008121700000) .
6. Remove the idler pulley.
7. Remove accessory drive belt tensioner. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-306586-S01073691202008121700000) .
8. Remove the vibration damper. See «REMOVAL»(ref-306563-S22242722052008121700000) .
9. Disconnect lower radiator and heater hoses from the water pump.
10. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-306576-S39239209722008121700000) .
11. Remove the AIR pump.
12. Remove the cylinder head covers. See «REMOVAL»(ref-306563-S21880504022008121700000) .
13. Remove the front cylinder head to timing chain cover retaining bolts.
14. Remove the generator. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-306587-S06568639222008121700000) .
15. Raise and support vehicle.
16. Remove the lower oil pan. See «REMOVAL»(ref-306563-S17026739872008121700000) .
17. Remove the upper oil pan. See «REMOVAL»(ref-306563-S17026739872008121700000) .
18. Remove the starter. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-306562-S03201732402008121700000) .
19. Rotate the crankshaft to 40° ATDC.
20. Using Special Tool 9102 (1) Flywheel Locking Tool, lock the flywheel by inserting the tool into the starter opening.
21. Remove the timing chain tensioner. See «REMOVAL»(ref-306563-S37762372922008121700000) .
22. Remove the timing chain cover bolts and cover.
