Installation of lambda probes

Install lambda probes using tool 9995543 . Tighten to 45 Nm. (33.2 ft lb)

Secure wiring.

Lower the car slightly.

Connect the connectors.

Secure wiring.

Install LH front wheel. Tighten to 110 Nm. (81 ft lb)

Lower the car.

Installation of driver information control unit

Install in reverse order.

Injector/pulsation damper, replacement (B5xx4T; -2002)

Scheme 397

Depressurize the fuel system acc. to: Fuel system pressure release .

Remove the cover over the fuel rail.

Disconnect the injector connectors.

Blow clean around the injectors.

Remove the mounting screws from the fuel rail

Separate the fuel line quick-release connector.

Spray universal oil or similar around the injector terminals on the intake manifold.

Pull out the fuel rail and injectors. Do not work them loose from side to side.

Note. Handle the injectors carefully to avoid damaging the injectors' fuel nozzles and fuel needles.

Remove

1. the screws holding the mounting rail to the fuel rail
2. the mounting rail
3. the injector and the pulsation damper.

Remove fuel filler pipe

1. Remove circlip securing rubber seal.
2. Release rubber seal from bodywork.

Remove fuel tank

1. Position mobile jack with fixture «9995972»(ref-403953-S08076234722011061000000) under fuel tank, check that the lifting platform is flat so as not to damage the fuel tank.
2. Undo tank retaining straps and lower tank slightly.

Remove front holder

1. Remove the entire mounting from the bracket by pulling it towards the right of the car.
2. Disconnect the hose between the EVAP canister shut-off valve and air cleaner (ACL) from the clamp on the fuel tank. HINT: Note position of hose in the clamp in case it opens. The hoses must be reinstalled in their original positions.
