Function Test
Run the engine at fast idle speed until the thermostat opens.
Ensure that the heater control in the passenger compartment is at the maximum position. Top up the coolant if necessary.
Install the engine cover.
Testing
Erase diagnostic trouble codes.
Test-drive car.
Check that no new diagnostic trouble codes are displayed.
If new codes are displayed, continue troubleshooting as per VIDA.
