INJECTOR 5Injector 5. The injector opens and closes approximately 50 times per second for 5 seconds. The injector clicks
A/C RELAYAir conditioning (A/C) relay. The air conditioning magnetic clutch clicks.
ENG. FAN 25%Engine cooling fan (FC) 25%. Loud fan noise.
ENG. FAN 50%Engine cooling fan (FC) 50%. Loud fan noise.
ENG. FAN 100%Engine cooling fan (FC) 100%. Loud fan noise.
Fuel pumpFuel pump relay. Fuel pump noise is heard from the fuel tank.
MIL LAMPMalfunction indicator lamp (MIL). The engine must be running and the lamp off before activation.
EVAP CANISTER SHUT OFF VALVEThe EVAP canister shut-off valve. The EVAP canister shut-off valve clicks.
Canister purge (CP) valveThe canister purge (CP) valve. The canister purge (CP) valve clicks
TURBOCHARGER CONTROL VALVETurbocharger (TC) control valve. The turbocharger (TC) control valve makes a clicking sound.

Description of component / functions activation

ComponentFunction
Injector (1-6)Injectors 1-6. The injectors open and close approximately 6 times per second. A clicking noise is heard from the injectors. The engine must be switched off.
A/C RELAYA/C relay. Air conditioning A/C must be requested from the control panel. A clicking noise is heard from the air conditioning (A/C) relay and the magnetic clutch for the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.
ENGINE COOLING FAN (FC) pulse width modulation (PWM) controlled 25-100 %The speed of the engine cooling fan (FC) changes depending on which activation is selected. The fan can be heard.
MIL LAMPMalfunction indicator lamp (MIL). The engine must be running and the lamp off before activation. The lamp lights when the start button is pressed and goes out when the stop button is pressed.
LEAK DIAGNOSTIC UNIT, VALVECertain markets only. A clicking noise is heard from the valve in the leak diagnostic unit at activation.
CANISTER PURGE (CP) VALVEThe EVAP canister purge valve opens and closes 5 times per second. The valve is activated by the start button and stopped using the stop button. The canister purge (CP) valve clicks.
COOLING FAN CONTROL MODULEThere is a buzzing noise from the cooling fan for the control modules at activation.
THROTTLE UNIT 50-100 %The shutter in the throttle unit opens. The throttle unit opens to different positions depending on which activation is selected (50, 75 or 100 %) Read off "Throttle Position Sensor (TP) potentiometer 1" or "Throttle Position Sensor (TP) potentiometer 2" at activation to check the function. The engine must be switched off at activation.
TURBOCHARGER CONTROL VALVEThere is a clicking noise from the turbocharger (TC) control valve at activation. The engine must be switched off at activation.

Description of parameters

HINT: Not all the parameters described need to be implemented in the control module. This varies between different systems and markets.

HINT: Bank 1: indicates all cylinders.
