  1. Ignition off
  2. Transmission control module (TCM) disconnected.
  3. Turn of all equipment in the car that takes power from the battery (the interior lighting and radio etc.). Connect an ohmmeter between the battery negative terminal and: terminal #A53 on the breakout box. Other information: To connect the breakout box, see «Connecting the breakout box»(ref-406813-S31532077542011070100000).

The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 ohms.

  1. OK Refer to «Checking the power supply to the control module»(ref-406842-S22980137392011070100000)
  2. NOT OK Refer to «Checking for open-circuits, contact resistance and oxidation»(ref-406842-S40144147632011070100000)
