| 1 CHECK HARNESS. Turn the ignition switch to OFF. Disconnect the TCM and transmission connectors. Measure the resistance between TCM connector and transmission connectors. Connector & terminal (B54) No. 26 - (B11) No. 11 | Is the resistance less than 1 ohms? | Go to step 2 . | Repair the open circuit of harness. |
| 2 CHECK HARNESS. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Measure the voltage between TCM connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (B54) No. 26 (+) - Chassis ground (-) | Is the voltage approx. 0 V? | Go to step 3 . | Repair the short circuit of harness. |
| 3 CHECK LOCK-UP DUTY SOLENOID. Measure the resistance between transmission connector and transmission body. Connector & terminal (T4) No. 11 - Transmission body | Is the resistance approx. 13 ohms? (when engine cold) | Check for poor contact of the connector, and repair the defective part. | Go to step 4 . |
| 4 CHECK HARNESS INSIDE TRANSMISSION. CAUTION: Start work after ATF cools down. Remove the transmission valve cover. Check for the harness pinch, damage. | Is the harness normal? | Go to step 5 . | Replace the transmission harness. |
| 5 CHECK HARNESS INSIDE TRANSMISSION. Disconnect the control valve body connector. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Measure the voltage between transmission connector and transmission body. Connector & terminal (T4) No. 11 (+) - Transmission body (-) | Is the voltage approx. 0 V? | Replace the control valve body. Refer to CONTROL VALVE BODY . | Replace the transmission harness. |
