- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
- Remove the air intake duct. < Ref. to «REMOVAL»(ref-303060-S30495136602008102300000) , Air Intake Duct. >
- Disconnect the connector from mass air flow and intake air temperature sensor.
- Loosen clamps (A) which connect the air cleaner case and the intake duct.
- Remove the clip (B) securing the upper side of air cleaner case.
- Remove the air cleaner case (rear) and air cleaner element.
- Remove the bolts (A) and nut (B) which secure the air cleaner case to body.
- Remove the air cleaner case (front).
Check for cracks or loose connections.

- Loosen the clamp (A) which connects air intake chamber to throttle body.
- Loosen the clamp (B) which connects the duct to air intake chamber.
- Remove the bolt (C) which secures air intake chamber to the stay.
- Disconnect the connector (D).
- Disconnect the blow-by hoses, and then remove air intake chamber.
- Check for cracks or loose connection.
- Inspect that no foreign objects are mixed in the air intake chamber.

- Remove the clip which installs the air intake duct on the front side of body.
- Remove the air intake duct.
- Check for cracks or loose connections.
- Check that no foreign matter is mixed in air intake duct.
Check for cracks or loose connections.
