Replace Coolant Compensation Tank Opel Astra H

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Completely disconnect battery • Detach earth connection from earth terminal – Slacken nut • Detach positive connection from positive terminal – Slacken nut
3. 3. Remove battery • Remove battery bracket – Unscrew bolt • Remove battery
4. 4. Raise vehicle by its full height
5. 5. Place collecting basin underneath.
6. 6. Drain coolant • Open drain bolt on radiator (1) • Collect coolant • Close drain bolt

7. 7. Lower vehicle completely

8. 8. Remove coolant compensation tank • Detach 3x coolant hose (1) – Undo 3x clamps • Unclip retainer (2)

Install

9. 9. Install coolant expansion tank • Attach 3x coolant hoses – Attach 3x clamps • Clip in retainer
10. 10. Top up coolant • Observe specified coolant quantity

Note. Fill and bleed cooling system

11. 11. Install battery • Install battery bracket – Tighten bolt 7 Nm
12. 12. Completely connect battery • Attach ground connection to ground terminal – Tighten nut • Attach positive connection to positive terminal – Tighten nut
13. 13. Program volatile memories
14. 14. Close bonnet
