2. Perform the following procedures to inspect the selector lever. If there is any malfunction, adjust the selector cable. Shift-Lock System Inspection

1. Switch the ignition to ON.
2. Shift the selector lever to the P position.
3. Perform the following procedures to inspect the shift-lock system. If there is any malfunction, inspect the shift-lock solenoid and P position switch. (See «SHIFT-LOCK SOLENOID AND P POSITION SWITCH INSPECTION»(ref-520491-S12422934732013010300000) .) Verify that the selector lever cannot be shifted from P to R position when the brake pedal is released. Verify that the selector lever can be shifted from P to R position when the brake pedal is depressed.
