Operation Inspection
- Perform the following procedures to inspect the TR switch. If there is any malfunction, adjust the TR switch. (See «TRANSAXLE RANGE (TR) SWITCH ADJUSTMENT [FS5A-EL]»(ref-520434-S37278945852013010300000) .) Engage the parking brake and use wheel chocks at the front and rear of the wheels. Verify that the starter operates only when the ignition is switched to START with the selector lever in the P position or the N position. Verify that the back-up lights illuminate when shifted to the R position with the ignition at ON. Verify that the positions of the selector lever and the selector indicator light are aligned.

- Engage the parking brake and use wheel chocks at the front and rear of the wheels.
- Perform the following procedures. Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5]»(ref-520388-S24063200782013010300000).) Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the air cleaner component. (See «INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5]»(ref-520380-S16554744642013010300000).) Disconnect the TR switch connector.
