  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Wait for 5 seconds after starting the engine. Push up the RESUME/ACCELERATE switch 5 times and push down the SET/COAST switch 5 times within 10 seconds. NOTE: If the above operation cannot be performed within 10 seconds after waiting for 5 seconds after starting the engine, repeat the procedure from step 1 .
  4. The DTC is displayed on the set vehicle speed indicator (1) on the ICC system display on the information display when the on board self-diagnosis starts. Refer to " «DTC INDEX»(ref-573617-S03818570942013082200000) ". NOTE: It displays for up to 5 minutes and then stops. If multiple malfunctions exist, up to 6 DTCs can be stored in memory at the most, and the most recent one is displayed first.

CAN COMMUNICATION

CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial communication line for real time applications. It is an on-vehicle multiplex communication line with high data communication speed and excellent error detection ability. Modern vehicle is equipped with many electronic control units, and each control unit shares information and links with other control units during operation (not independent). In CAN communication, control units are connected with 2 communication lines (CAN-H, CAN-L) allowing a high rate of information transmission with less wiring. Each control unit transmits/receives data but selectively reads the required data only.

CAN communication signal chart. Refer to " CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: CAN COMMUNICATION SIGNAL CHART ".

ITS COMMUNICATION

  1. ITS communication is a multiplex communication system. This enables the system to transmit and receive large quantities of data at high speed by connecting control units with 2 communication lines.
  2. ITS communication lines adopt twisted-pair line style (two lines twisted) for noise immunity.
