Active Control Engine Mount (Acm) System: Diagnosis Honda Pilot II

How to Use the HDS (Honda Diagnostic System)

  1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the PCM. If it does not communicate the DLC circuit (see «DLC CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-333558-S02093989162009072100000) ).
  4. Check the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and note it. Also check the freeze data and/or on-board snapshot data, and download any data found. Then refer to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting, and begin the appropriate troubleshooting procedure. NOTE: Freeze data indicates the engine conditions when the first malfunction was detected. The HDS can read the DTC, freeze data, on-board snapshot, and current data, about the active control engine mount (ACM) system. For specific operations, refer to the user's manual that came with the HDS.

DTC Clear

  1. Clear the DTC with the HDS while the engine is stopped.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and wait 30 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and disconnect the HDS from the DLC.

DTC TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE

DTC P0A14, P0AB6: Front Engine Mount Actuator Circuit Malfunction; Rear Engine Mount Actuator Circuit Malfunction

Note. Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshots, and review GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION . Information marked with an asterisk (*) applies to rear engine mount actuator. When testing the engine mount actuator, be sure to use a VOM capable of reading 0.01 ohms change of resistance. Be sure to zero the meter before checking the engine mount actuator. If the vehicle has been driven, allow the engine mount actuator to cool down for about 2 hours before testing.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  2. Clear the DTC with the HDS (see «HDS CLEAR COMMAND»(ref-333557-S31862746422009072100000) ).
  3. Start the engine, and let it idle 20 seconds.
  4. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0A14 and/or P0AB6* Indicated? YES - Go to step 5 . NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the engine mount actuator.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  6. Disconnect the front engine mount actuator (rear engine mount actuator)* 2P connector.
  7. Disconnect the engine mount control unit 16P connector.
  8. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  9. Measure the voltage between body ground and the appropriate engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal (see table below). YES - Repair short to power in the wire between the engine mount control unit and the engine mount actuator, then go to step 13 . NO - Go to step 10 .
  10. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  11. Check for continuity to body ground between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminals No. 2 (No. 8)* and No. 16 (No. 9)*. Is there continuity? YES - Repair short to ground in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 16 (No. 8 and No. 9)*, then go to step 14 . NO - Go to step 12 .
  12. At the engine mount actuator side, measure the resistance between front engine mount actuator (rear engine mount actuator)* 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. Is there about 0.48-0.54 ohms? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the engine mount actuator. If it is OK, replace the engine mount control unit, then go to step 14 . NO - Make sure the engine mount actuator temperature is about 68°F (20°C), then retest. If the actuator is still out of specifications, replace the front engine mount (see «FRONT ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-333550-S04264454812009072100000) ), or rear engine mount (see «REAR ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-333550-S29131353122009072100000) ), then go to step 14 .
  13. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  14. Reconnect all connectors.
  15. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  16. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  17. Start the engine, and let it idle 20 seconds.
  18. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0A14 and/or P0AB6* indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the engine mount actuator, then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

DTC P0A15, P0AB7: Front Engine Mount Actuator Control Circuit Low Current; Rear Engine Mount Actuator Control Circuit Low Current

Note. Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshots, and review GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION . Information marked with an asterisk (*) applies to rear engine mount actuator. When testing the engine mount actuator, be sure to use a VOM capable of reading 0.01 ohms change of resistance. Be sure to zero the meter before checking the engine mount actuator. If the vehicle has been driven, allow the engine mount actuator to cool down for about 2 hours before testing.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  3. Start the engine, and let it idle 20 seconds.
  4. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0A15 and/or P0AB7* indicated? YES - Go to step 5 . NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the engine mount actuator, the engine mount control unit and body ground (G202).
  5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  6. Disconnect the front engine mount actuator (rear engine mount actuator)* 2P connector.
  7. At the engine mount actuator side, measure the resistance between front engine mount actuator (rear engine mount actuator)* 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. Is there about 0.48-0.54 ohms? YES - Go to step 8 . NO - Make sure the engine mount actuator temperature is about 68°F (20°C), then retest. If the actuator is still out of specifications, replace the front engine mount (see «FRONT ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-333550-S04264454812009072100000) ), or rear engine mount (see «REAR ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-333550-S29131353122009072100000) ), then go to step 13 .
  8. Disconnect the engine mount control unit 16P connector.
  9. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Go to step 10 . NO - Repair open in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground (G202), then go to step 13 .
  10. Check for continuity between the appropriate engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal and body ground (see table below).   11. Connect appropriate front engine mount actuator (rear engine mount actuator)* 2P connector terminal to body ground with a jumper wire (see table).   12. Check for continuity between the appropriate engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal and body ground (see table). NO - Repair open in the wire between the engine mount control unit and the engine mount actuator, then go to step 13 .
  13. Reconnect all connectors.
  14. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  15. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  16. Start the engine, and let it idle 20 seconds.
  17. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P0A15 and/or P0AB7* indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the engine mount actuator, then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  2. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P16C5 indicated? YES - Do the troubleshooting for the DTC P16C5. NO - Go to step 3 .
  3. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  4. Start the engine, and let it idle 10 seconds.
  5. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15AB indicated? YES - Go to step 6 . NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and body ground (G202).
  6. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  7. Inspect the No. 10 IG METER (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box. Is the fuse OK? YES - Go to step 8 . NO - Repair short to ground in the wire between the No. 10 IG METER (7.5 A) fuse and engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal (No. 5 or No. 11). Also replace the No. 10 IG METER (7.5 A) fuse, then go to step 14 .
  8. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit 16P connector. Are the connections and terminals OK? YES - Go to step 9 . NO - Repair the connections or terminals, then go to step 14 .
  9. Disconnect the engine mount control unit 16P connector.
  10. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  11. Measure the voltage between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 5 and body ground. Is there battery voltage? YES - Go to step 12 . NO - Repair open in the wire between the under-dash fuse/relay box and engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 5, then go to step 14 .
  12. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  13. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 3 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Replace the engine mount control unit, then go to step 14 . NO - Repair open in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 3 and body ground (G202), then go to step 14 .
  14. Reconnect all connectors.
  15. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  16. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  17. Start the engine, and let it idle 10 seconds.
  18. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15AB indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and body ground (G202), then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  3. Select the VTEC TEST in the PGM-FI INSPECTION, and do the VPS TEST of the 3 CYLINDER ACTIVATION TEST with the HDS.
  4. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15AE indicated? YES - Go to step 5 . NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  6. Disconnect the engine mount control unit 16P. connector.
  7. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  8. Select the VTEC TEST in the PGM-FI INSPECTION, and do the VPS TEST of the 3 CYLIINDER ACTIVATION TEST with the HDS.
  9. Measure the voltage between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 6 and body ground during 3 cylinder pause mode. Is there battery voltage? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM. If it is OK, replace the engine mount control unit (see «ENGINE MOUNT CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT»(ref-333549-S38072139582009072100000) ), then go to step 16 . NO - Go to step 10 .
  10. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  11. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  12. Disconnect PCM connector A (49P)
  13. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 6 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Repair short to ground in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 6 and PCM connector terminal A14, then go to step 16 . NO - Go to step 14 .
  14. Connect engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 6 to body ground with a jumper wire.
  15. Check for continuity between PCM connector terminal A14 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM. If it is OK, go to step 21 . NO - Repair open in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 6 and PCM connector terminal A14, then go to step 16 .
  16. Reconnect all connectors.
  17. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  18. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  19. Select the VTEC TEST in the PGM-FI INSPECTION, and do the VPS TEST of the 3 CYLINDER ACTIVATION TEST with the HDS.
  20. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15AE indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM, then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
  21. Reconnect all connectors.
  22. Update the PCM (see «PCM UPDATE»(ref-333558-S24141467512009072100000) ) if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE PCM»(ref-333557-S35070474232009072100000) ).
  23. Select the VTEC TEST in the PGM-FI INSPECTION, and do the VPS TEST of the 3 CYLINDER ACTIVATION TEST with the HDS.
  24. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15AE indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM. If the PCM was updated (see «PCM UPDATE»(ref-333558-S24141467512009072100000) ), substitute a known-good PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE PCM»(ref-333557-S35070474232009072100000) ), and retest. If the PCM was substituted and the symptom indicated goes away, replace the original PCM (see «PCM REPLACEMENT»(ref-333558-S09775742392009072100000) ). • NO - If the PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM (see «PCM REPLACEMENT»(ref-333558-S09775742392009072100000) ). If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

DTC P15B0, P15C0: CKP Sensor Signal Malfunction; CKP Sensor Signal Intermittent Interruption

Note. Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshots, and review GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION . If PGM-FI system's DTC P0335 and/or P0339 is stored at the same time as DTC P15B0 and/or P15C0, troubleshoot P0335 and/or P0339 first, then recheck for P15B0 and/or P15C0.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

  4. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15B0 and/or P15C0 indicated? YES - Go to step 5 . NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  6. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit 16P connector and PCM connector A (49P). Are the connections and terminals OK? YES - Go to step 7 . NO - Repair the connections or terminals, then go to step 26 .
  7. Disconnect the CKP sensor 3P connector (see «CKP SENSOR REPLACEMENT»(ref-333558-S42871082212009072100000) ).
  8. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  9. Measure the voltage between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 15 and body ground. Is there about 5 V? YES - Go to step 10 . NO - Go to step 20 .
  10. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  11. Connect CKP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1 to body ground with a jumper wire.
  12. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  13. Measure the voltage between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 15 and body ground. Is there about 0 V? YES - Replace the engine mount control unit (see «ENGINE MOUNT CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT»(ref-333549-S38072139582009072100000) ), then go to step 26 . NO - Go to step 14 .
  14. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  15. Remove the jumper wire from the CKP sensor 3P connector.
  16. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  17. Disconnect PCM connector A (49P).
  18. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  19. Measure the voltage between PCM connector terminal A34 and body ground. Is there about 5 V? YES - Go to step 31 . NO - Repair open in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 15 and PCM connector terminal A34, then go to step 26 .
  20. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  21. Disconnect the engine mount control unit 16P connector.
  22. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 15 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Go to step 23 . NO - Replace the engine mount control unit, then go to step 26 .
  23. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  24. Disconnect PCM connector A (49P).
  25. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 15 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Repair short to ground in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 15 and PCM connector terminal A34, then go to step 26 . NO - Go to step 31 .
  26. Reconnect all connectors.
  27. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  28. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  29. Start the engine, and let it idle 20 seconds.
  30. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15B0 and/or P15C0 indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM, then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
  31. Reconnect all connectors.
  32. Update the PCM (see «PCM UPDATE»(ref-333558-S24141467512009072100000) ) if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE PCM»(ref-333557-S35070474232009072100000) ).

  9. Measure the voltage between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 4 and body ground during 2 cylinder pause mode. Is there battery voltage? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM. If it is OK, replace the engine mount control unit (see «ENGINE MOUNT CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT»(ref-333549-S38072139582009072100000) ), then go to step 16 . NO - Go to step 10 .
  10. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  11. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  12. Disconnect PCM connector A (49P)
  13. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 4 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Repair short to ground in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 4 and PCM connector terminal A15, then go to step 16 . NO - Go to step 14 .
  14. Connect engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 4 to body ground with a jumper wire.
  15. Check for continuity between PCM connector terminal A15 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM. If it is OK, go to step 21 . NO - Repair open in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 4 and PCM connector terminal A15, then go to step 16 .
  16. Reconnect all connectors.
  17. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  18. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  19. Select the VTEC TEST in the PGM-FI INSPECTION, and do the VPS TEST of the 4 CYLINDER ACTIVATION TEST with the HDS.
  20. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15BD indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM, then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
  21. Reconnect all connectors.
  22. Update the PCM (see «PCM UPDATE»(ref-333558-S24141467512009072100000) ) if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM (see «SUBSTITUTING THE PCM»(ref-333557-S35070474232009072100000) ).
  23. Select the VTEC TEST in the PGM-FI INSPECTION, and do the VPS TEST of the 4 CYLINDER ACTIVATION TEST with the HDS.
  24. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15BD indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM.   8. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  9. Measure the voltage between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 7 and body ground. Is there about 5 V? YES - Go to step 10 . NO - Go to step 20 .
  10. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  11. Connect CMP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1 to body ground with a jumper wire.
  12. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  13. Measure the voltage between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 7 and body ground. Is there about 0 V? YES - Replace the engine mount control unit (see «ENGINE MOUNT CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT»(ref-333549-S38072139582009072100000) ), then go to step 26 . NO - Go to step 14 .
  14. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  15. Remove the jumper wire from the CMP sensor 3P connector.
  16. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  17. Disconnect PCM connector A (49P).
  18. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  19. Measure the voltage between PCM connector terminal A35 and body ground. Is there about 5 V? YES - Go to step 31 . NO - Repair open in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 7 and PCM connector terminal A35, then go to step 26 .

  21. Disconnect the engine mount control unit 16P connector.

  23. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
  24. Disconnect PCM connector A (49P).
  25. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 7 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Repair short to ground in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 7 and PCM connector terminal A35, then go to step 26 . NO - Go to step 31 .
  26. Reconnect all connectors.
  27. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  28. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  29. Start the engine, and let it idle 20 seconds.
  30. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC P15BE and/or P15BF indicated? YES - Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and the PCM, then go to step 1 . NO - Troubleshooting is complete.   31. Reconnect all connectors.

  7. Disconnect the engine mount control unit 16P connector.
  8. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 10 and body ground. Is the continuity? YES - Repair short to ground in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 10 and the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay. Also replace the No. 12 ACM (10 A) fuse, then go to step 20 . NO - Repair short to ground in the wire between the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay and the No. 12 ACM (10 A) fuse. Also replace the No. 12 ACM (10 A) fuse and the under-hood fuse/relay box, then go to step 20 .
  9. Remove the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay (A) from the under-hood fuse/relay box.
  10. Check the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay (see «POWER RELAY TEST»(ref-333609-S14631099402009072100000) ). Is the relay OK? YES - Go to step 11 . NO - Replace the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay, then go to step 20 .
  11. Measure the voltage between active control engine mount (ACM) control relay 5P socket terminal No. 1 and body ground. Is there battery voltage? YES - Go to step 12 . NO - Repair open in the wire between the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay and the No. 12 ACM (10 A) fuse, Also replace the under-hood fuse/relay box, then go to step 20 .
  12. Disconnect the engine mount control unit 16P connector.
  13. Check for continuity between active control engine mount (ACM) control relay 5P socket terminal No. 2 and engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 10. Is there continuity? YES - Go to step 14 . NO - Repair open in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 10 and the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay, then go to step 20 .
  14. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  15. Measure the voltage between active control engine mount (ACM) control relay 5P socket terminal No. 5 and body ground. Is there battery voltage? YES - Go to step 18 . NO - Go to step 16 .
  16. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  17. Inspect the No. 10 IG METER (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box. Is the fuse OK? YES - Repair open in the wire between the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay and the No. 10 IG METER (7.5 A) fuse, then go to step 20 . NO - Repair short to ground in the wire between the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay and the No. 10 IG METER (7.5 A) fuse. Also replace the No. 10 IG METER (7.5 A) fuse, then go to step 20 .
  18. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  19. Check for continuity between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 11 and active control engine mount (ACM) control relay 5P socket terminal No. 3. Is there continuity? YES - Replace the engine mount control unit (see «ENGINE MOUNT CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT»(ref-333549-S38072139582009072100000) ), then go to step 20 . NO - Repair open in the wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. Hand the active control engine mount (ACM) control relay, then go to step 20 .
  20. Reconnect all connectors.
  21. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

  3. Start the engine, and let it idle for 20 seconds.
  4. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - Go to indicated DTC's troubleshooting. • NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit, the engine mount actuator, and body ground (G202).
