P0CBC:11Drive Motor "A" Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit: Circuit Short To GroundThis DTC sets if the TCM detects less than 0.15v on either motor coolant sensor signal circuit. CLEAR the DTC . REPEAT the self-test. If DTC P0CBC:11 returns, INSTALL a new TCM . REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .
P0CBC:15Drive Motor "A" Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit: Circuit Short To Battery or OpenThis DTC sets if the TCM detects more than 2.97v on either motor coolant sensor signal circuit. CLEAR the DTC . REPEAT the self-test. If DTC P0CBC:15 returns, INSTALL a new TCM . REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .
P0CBD:17Drive Motor "A" Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance: Circuit Voltage Above ThresholdThis DTC sets if the TCM detects more than 155°C on either motor coolant sensor signal circuit. Diagnostic Routine(s)

PINPOINT TEST A

  1. A1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCS FROM THE TCM SELF-TEST Using a scan tool, carry out the TCM self-test. Are DTCs P1A0A:01, P1A0A:17, P1A0A:18, or P1A0A:29 present? Yes : GO to A2 No : The system is operating normally at this time.
  2. A2 CHECK THE PCM SHUTOFF CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN Ignition OFF Disconnect C1822A. Disconnect C175B. Measure: Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C1822A-3 C175B-58 Is the resistance less than 3 ohms? Yes : GO to A3 No : REPAIR the circuit.
  3. A3 CHECK THE PCM SHUTOFF CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Measure: Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C1822A-3 Ground Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms? Yes : GO to A4 No : REPAIR the circuit.
  4. A4 CHECK THE PCM SHUTOFF CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE Ignition ON Measure: Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C1822A-3 Ground Is any voltage present? Yes : REPAIR the circuit. No : GO to A5
  5. A5 CHECK FOR CORRECT TCM OPERATION Ignition OFF Inspect the TCM connector. Repair: corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins) damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary Reconnect the TCM connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? Yes : CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new TCM . REFER to: «ELECTRIC MOTOR»(ref-566981-S05026797902013071700000) . No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. Address the root cause of any connector or pin issues.

PINPOINT TEST B

  1. B1 CHECK FOR SELF-TEST DTCS Using a scan tool, carry out the TCM self-test. Is DTC P0560:16 present? Yes : GO to B2 No : Unable to duplicate or identify the concern at this time.
  2. B2 CHECK FOR ANY OTHER TCM AND PCM DTCS Using a scan tool, carry out the TCM and PCM self-test. Are any other DTCs received from the TCM or PCM self-tests? Yes : DISREGARD the current DTC at this time. DIAGNOSE the next DTC. No : GO to B3
  3. B3 CHECK THE B+ CIRCUITS FOR VOLTAGE Disconnect C1822A. Ignition ON Measure: Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C1822A-15 C1822A-10 C1822A-16 C1822A-11 Are the voltages greater than 10 V? Yes : GO to B5 No : GO to B4
  4. B4 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE TCM USING GROUND AS A REFERENCE Measure: Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C1822A-15 Ground C1822A-16 Ground Are the voltages greater than 10 V? Yes : CHECK the ground to C1822A for corrosion or loose wires. REPAIR as necessary. No : REPAIR the open circuit.
  5. B5 CHECK THE TCM POWER AND GROUND CIRCUIT(S) FOR INTERMITTENT CONCERNS Ignition OFF Connect a non-powered test lamp between: Positive Lead Measurement/Action Negative Lead C1822A-15 C1822A-10 C1822A-16 C1822A-11 Ignition ON Observe the test lamp for a sudden illumination of the test lamp, indicating a concern, while completing the following: Shake, wiggle, and bend the B+ and GND circuit(s). Visually inspect the TCM and harness connectors for damage and corrosion. Is a concern present? Yes : ISOLATE the concern and REPAIR as necessary. No : GO to B6
  6. B6 CHECK FOR SELF-TEST DTCS Ignition OFF Connect C1822A. Clear the TCM DTCs. Using a scan tool, carry out the TCM self-test. Is DTC P0560:16 present during the TCM self-test? Yes : INSTALL a new TCM . REFER to: «ELECTRIC MOTOR»(ref-566981-S05026797902013071700000) . No : Unable to duplicate or identify the concern at this time. The DC to DC Converter Control Module (DC/DC) regulates voltage to the low voltage system. CHECK the wiring and the appropriate fuse.
