- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester
Procedure
- Front seat installed
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester connected
- Ignition turned on.
Choose "Guided Functions" under Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Select the "Control Module Address" (06 front passenger seat or 36 driver seat)
Perform the "Seat Axis Designation".

SEAT FORWARD/BACK ADJUSTMENT HANDLE
Note. Removal and Installation can be done with the seat installed.

Bring headrest into lowest lock position.
Press the seat forward/backward handle and move the seat as far back as possible.
Pry handle -1- off of seat forward/back adjuster -2- by using a screwdriver to press down the clip locking spring.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following
Replace the clip on the seat forward/back adjustment handle. Note the installation position.
- The springs -arrows- (quantity: 2) on the clip -2- must be on the inner side of the lever -1-.
Make sure the seat height adjustment handle engages correctly with the clips.
SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT HANDLE
Note. The seat height adjustment handle can be replaced with the front seat installed.

Note. Remove the seat height adjustment handle -1- as described. Do not drive it off the lever -2-. If the tab -arrow- is damaged when removing the seat height adjustment handle, the handle cannot be reinstalled. It must be replaced.
Pull the seat height adjustment handle -1- as far up as possible and hold it in that position.

Carefully pull the seat height adjustment handle slightly away from the front seat.
Place thehook3438 between the seat height adjustment handle and the trim -2-.
Unlock the release -3- using the hook3438 and at the same time, pull the seat height adjustment handle in the direction of the -arrow- from the lever.

Remove the seat pan upholstery. Refer to LOWER SEAT FRAME WITHOUT SEAT DEPTH ADJUSTER, COVER AND PADDING .
Disconnect and free up the electrical connectors -2-.
Remove the bolts -1- and -3-.
Rotate the cover grille -4- in the direction of the -arrow- and remove the fan.

The seat adjustment controls consist of
- Driver seat forward/back adjustment switch -E363- or front passenger seat forward/back adjustment switch -E64

- Driver seat height adjustment switch -E364- or front passenger seat height adjustment switch -E365
Note. The seat adjustment actuator can be removed and installed with the front seat installed.
