Checking the wiring
Check the connector to the sun roof motor. Check for contact resistance and oxidation. Check for loose connections.

There is either a fault in the supply voltage or in the ground lead. Check the power supply cable against a ground terminal (the chassis).
HINT: If the voltage is 12 V the fault is in the ground lead. Other wise the fault is in the power supply cable.
Remedy as necessary.

- HINT: The wiring between the upper electronic module (UEM) and the rain sensor consists of two cables.
- Windshield wiper stalk in position "0". Check the cable between upper electronic module (UEM) terminal #13 (#A13) and rain sensor terminal #1. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. HINT: Resistance between the power supply cable to the rain sensor terminal #8 (#A8) and the data cable to the rain sensor terminal #13 (#A13) should be infinite. The resistance between the data cable to the rain sensor terminal #13 (#A13) and the 30-supply to the upper electronic module (UEM) terminal #11 (#A11) should be infinite. Remedy as necessary. - Ignition off. Check the connectors for the upper electronic module (UEM) and rain sensor. Check for contact resistance and oxidation. Also check the rain sensor and GSM antenna wiring (if applicable). Ensure that there are no sources of interference nearby. Remedy as necessary.
