The following components must be inspected and replaced if damaged
- The windshield and its bonding.
Note. Must be PUR sealed if replaced. Carefully remove any glass splinters. Remember to check in the ventilation ducts.
- NOTE: The instrument panel must be replaced if the passenger airbag module has been activated.
- WARNING: US models only: The brackets must be replaced if the dashboard or the lower panel on the driver's side has been damaged. Replaced brackets must be tightened. Tighten to 25 Nm.
- The dashboard and its frame (if applicable)
- Panels under the dashboard
- Loudspeakers (in the dashboard).

- Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-112 or SRS-0001 is stored
- The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) cannot be erased when the car has been repaired, there is still a fault in the sensor module
- The sensor module is mechanically damaged
- There is mechanical damage to the floor of the car around the sensor module. This could weaken the mechanical mountings for the sensor module. Remove the sensor module. Check that its mountings are not cracked.
| CAUTION | While under warranty, diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-112 or SRS-0001 must not be erased. Instead the sensor unit should be returned to Volvo according to current procedures. |
