Scheme 717: Drain coolant and remove components
WARNINGFollow the safety instructions for work on air conditioning systems. See: Refrigerant, safety regulations .

Note. First read the instructions covering slow and fast leaks. See Oil air conditioning (A/C) system, filling .

Note. Always plug the pipes and connections when working on the climate control system.

Drain the refrigerant from the system. See Refrigerant, draining .

Raise the vehicle.

Remove the air baffle beneath the radiator assembly, 2 x screws (1), the 2 x catches (2).

Scheme 718: Remove pressure sensor

Remove

  1. the connector
  2. the pressure sensor.

Install pressure sensor

Install

  1. the pressure sensor. See: «Summary of tightening torques for specific components»(ref-415410-S04672336852011081500000)
  2. the connector.

Finishing

Fill with coolant and leak tracing

Vacuum pump the air conditioning (A/C) system. See: Vacuum pumping .

Fill the system. See: Refrigerant, filling .

Leak trace the system. See: Leak tracing, fluorescent tracing agent / UV lamp or: Leak tracing, electronic leak tracer .

Install air baffle

Install the 2 x M6 screws for the air baffle. Tighten.
