1. Remove gear shift knob.
2. Remove front cover, see «FRONT COVER - CENTER CONSOLE»(ref-175206-S08755492302005050200000).
3. Remove console boot.
4. Remove boot plate from body. (Scheme 661): Removing Console Boot & Boot Plate
5. Remove rear exhaust pipe and muffler. See «REAR EXHAUST PIPE»(ref-176319-S03748520142005050300000). CAUTION: When removing exhaust pipes, make sure no exhaust pipes drop out. (Scheme 662): Removing Rear Exhaust Pipe And Muffler
6. Remove heat shield cover. (Scheme 663): Removing Heat Shield Cover
7. Remove stay from transmission bracket. (Scheme 664): Removing Stay From Transmission Bracket
8. Remove rod from joint. (Scheme 665): Removing Rod From Joint
9. Remove cushion rubber from body. (Scheme 666): Removing Cushion Rubber From Body
10. Remove joint and then extract straight pin. (Scheme 667): Removing Joint & Extracting Straight Pin
11. Remove gear shift lever. (Scheme 668): Removing Gear Shift Lever

1. Disassemble locking wire. (Scheme 669): Removing Locking Wire
2. Remove rod from gear shift lever. (Scheme 670): Removing Rod From Gear Shift Lever
3. Remove snap ring from bush D, then disconnect stay. (Scheme 671): Removing Snap Ring From Bush "D"
4. Remove boot from gear shift lever.
5. Remove bush and cushion rubber from stay. (Scheme 672): Removing Bush & Cushion Rubber From Stay
6. Remove O-ring, then disconnect bush D. (Scheme 673): Removing O-Ring & Disconnect Bush "D"
7. Draw out straight pin, then remove bush C from gear shift lever. (Scheme 674): Removing Straight Pin & Removing Bush "C"
