Shift Control System: Adjustments Saab 9-2X I

Adjustment

Set the select lever to "N" range.

Remove the rear exhaust pipe and muffler.

1. Saab 9-2X 2.5i Linear
2. Saab 9-2X 2.0T Aero

Remove the heat shield cover. (If equipped)

Scheme 3

Loosen the adjusting nut on each side.

Scheme 4

1. Adjusting nut A
2. Adjusting nut B

Turn the adjusting nut B until it lightly touches the connector.

Scheme 5

1. Front side
2. Select lever
3. Connector
4. Adjusting nut B
5. Contact point
6. Adjusting nut A

While preventing the adjusting nut B from moving with a wrench, tighten the adjusting nut A.

Tightening torque

7.5 Nm (0.76 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

Scheme 6

1. Adjusting nut A
2. Adjusting nut B

After completion of fitting, make sure that the select lever operates smoothly all across the operating range.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
