Remove
- 1. Disconnect battery negative lead
- 2. Raise vehicle
- 3. Remove engine and transmission undershield from vehicle
- 4. Remove right side splash shield • Remove 2x bolt, screw • Release washer hose (if installed)
- 5. Remove front splash shield • Remove 3x bolt (1)
- 6. Remove air deflector (1) from radiator • Release integral clip
- 7. Remove ribbed V-belt from engine • Rotate tension roller clockwise, then lock using Locating Pin KM-6130
Note. Illustration shows vehicle with air conditioning. For vehicles without air conditioning the tension roller is rotated anti-clockwise.
- 8. For vehicles with air conditioning, remove ribbed V-belt guide roller (1) • Remove bolt (2)
- 9. Disconnect harness connector (1) from alternator • Release integral clip
- 10. Disconnect harness connector from alternator • Remove nut from stud (2)
- 11. Disconnect harness connector (3) from alternator • Release integral clip
- 12. Remove alternator from support bracket • Remove 2x bolt (1)
Install
- 13. Install alternator to support bracket • Install 2x bolt (1) 25 Nm
- 14. Connect harness connector (1) to alternator • Secure integral clip
- 15. Connect harness connector to alternator • Install nut to stud (2)
- 16. Connect harness connector (3) to alternator • Secure integral clip
- 17. For vehicles with air conditioning, install ribbed V-belt guide roller (1) • Install bolt (2) 21 Nm
- 18. Install ribbed V-belt to engine • Rotate tension roller clockwise, then remove Locating Pin KM-6130 (1)
Note. Illustration shows vehicle with air conditioning. For vehicles without air conditioning the tension roller is rotated anti-clockwise.
- 19. Install air deflector (1) to radiator • Secure integral clip
- 20. Install front splash shield • Install 3x bolt (1) 6 Nm
- 21. Install right side splash shield • Install 2x bolt 8 Nm , screw 6 Nm • Secure washer hose (if installed)
- 22. Install engine and transmission undershield to vehicle
- 23. Lower vehicle
- 24. Connect battery negative lead
- 25. Program all volatile memories
