How to Check the Glow Plug Opel Vivaro A

Remove

1. 1. For vehicles up to MY2006, disconnect hose (1) from intercooler, then move to one side • Release bracket from upper front panel – Remove bolt • Release clip
2. 2. For vehicles as of MY2007, remove pipe (2) from intercooler and intake manifold • Release 2x clip

3. 3. Remove engine cover insulation • Remove 3x bolt cap cover • Remove 3x bolt

4. 4. Remove 4x glow plug • Disconnect harness connector (2) from glow plug • Remove glow plug (1) from cylinder head

5. 5. Set ohmmeter to check glow plug for continuity • Place positive probe (2) on insulated terminal (3) • Place negative probe (1) to threaded body (4)
6. 6. Replace glow plug if resistance is infinite

Install

7. 7. Install 4x glow plug to cylinder head • Install glow plug (1) 15 Nm • Connect harness connector (2)

8. 8. Install engine cover insulation • Secure 3x bolt • Secure 3x bolt cap cover (1)

9. 9. For vehicles up to MY2006, connect hose (1) to intercooler • Secure clip • Secure bracket to upper front panel – Install bolt
10. 10. For vehicles as of MY2007, install pipe (2) to intake manifold and intercooler • Secure 2x clip
