How to Remove and Install the Coolant Pump Opel Meriva A

Cooling System 5 illustrations ~225 words

Remove

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Unscrew coolant expansion tank closure cap
  3. 3. Raise vehicle all the way
  4. 4. Detach lower engine compartment cover or right engine splash guard
  5. 5. Drain coolant • Place collecting basin underneath • Open coolant drain screw (1) • Close drain bolt
  1. 6. Detach coolant pump drive gear (1) • Undo 3x bolts
  1. 7. Remove ribbed V-belt • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner in direction of arrow via bolt (1) • Fix ribbed V-belt tensioner to bore (2) with KM-6130 • Remove ribbed V-belt

Note. Mark direction of rotation

  1. 8. Remove coolant pump drive gear • Unscrew 3x bolt
  2. 9. Remove coolant pump (1) • Unscrew 5x bolt

Install

  1. 10. Clean sealing surfaces.
  2. 11. Install coolant pump • Replace seal • Tighten 5x bolts 24 Nm
  3. 12. Install coolant pump drive gear • Screw in 3x bolt
  4. 13. Install ribbed V-belt • Install ribbed V-belt – I. Ribbed V-belt without AC – II. Ribbed V-belt with AC • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner in direction of arrow via bolt (1) – Remove KM-6130

Note. Note running direction.

  1. 14. Fasten coolant pump drive gear • Tighten 3x bolts 16 Nm
  2. 15. Install lower engine compartment cover or right engine splash guard
  3. 16. Lower vehicle all the way
  4. 17. Cooling System, Charge and Bleed
  5. 18. Close bonnet
