  1. 1. Open cooling system Warning: Cooling system is under pressure. • Unscrew cover of coolant compensation tank
  2. 2. Top up coolant • Coolant compensation tank – Coolant compensation tank must be overfilled to filler port if engine has been emptied and/or radiator has been emptied and/or heater has been emptied – For work on cooling system that does not require emptying of the above-mentioned components the coolant compensation tank must be filled to the FRIO/COLD mark.
  1. 3. Close cooling system • Close cover of coolant compensation tank

Important. Vehicles with AC: Switch off air conditioning or set to ECO Mode with ECC (if available).

  1. 4. Start engine and allow to run • Then allow engine to run at 2500 - 3000 rpm for approx. 2 minutes - the air in the engine is separated via the degassing line.

Note. Allow engine to warm up at idle speed of up to max. 2500 rpm until adequate thermostat opening has been achieved (until radiator fan comes on at 1st speed setting).

  1. 5. Switch off engine • Allow engine to cool
  2. 6. Check coolant level. • Coolant compensation tank

Note. Up to FRIO/COLD mark - top up with coolant if necessary.
