Remove
Glow plug from cylinder head – remove contact rail.
Measure
Glow plug for continuity – use ohmmeter.
Inspect
Glow plug for correct operation – connect glow plug briefly to a battery; one cable to plug body and a second to the connection thread.
Caution
Glow test must only be carried out for short period of time (until glow range is recognized) to avoid damaging glow plug.
Install
Glow plug to cylinder head – 23 Nm.
