Engine Electronics Telltale
The engine electronics telltale indicates faults in the engine electronics and the immobiliser system to the driver.
10.2.11 Engine Electronics Telltale
Faults in the engine electronics are indicated if the telltale illuminates when the engine is running. The electronics activate the emergency operation program. This can cause an increase in the fuel consumption and a reduction of the engine output.
A fault can sometimes be eliminated by switching off and restarting the engine.
If the telltale illuminates again when the engine is running, the driver is advised to consult an authorised Opel workshop.
A brief, isolated illumination of the telltale is of no consequence.
Faults in the immobiliser system are indicated if the telltale flashes when the ignition is switched on.
