DTC P0112 OR DTC P0113 Kia Optima I рестайлинг

Code Definition

  1. DTC P0112: Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low Input
  2. DTC P0113: Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input

Note. Since Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is built into Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, they share same harness connector. Connector will be referred as IAT/MAF sensor connector.

Note. Before performing any diagnostic test, refer to WARNINGS, CAUTIONS and NOTES in DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .

Note. Testing individual components does not isolate shorts or opens. Perform all voltage tests using a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter Meter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm input impedance, unless stated otherwise in test procedure. Use ohmmeter to isolate wiring harness shorts or opens.

Diagnostic Aids

Malfunction code will set if at least 60 seconds have passed since engine started, engine is idling and IAT sensor temperature input to Engine/Transaxle Control Module (E/TCM) or Engine Control Module (ECM) is less than -49°F (-45°C) or more than 257°F (125°C). Conditions are continuously monitored. Check for following possible problems

  1. Open or short between IAT sensor and main relay.
  2. Open or short between IAT sensor and E/TCM or ECM.
  3. Short between IAT sensor and E/TCM or ECM.
  4. Short between IAT sensor wires.
  5. Faulty IAT sensor.
