Code Definition

1. DTC P0107: Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (EGR Mode 3)
2. DTC P0108: Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (EGR Mode 2)

Note. Before performing any diagnostic test, refer toWARNINGS, CAUTIONS and NOTES in DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .

Note. Testing individual components does not isolate shorts or opens. Perform all voltage tests using a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter Meter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm input impedance, unless stated otherwise in test procedure. Use ohmmeter to isolate wiring harness shorts or opens.

Diagnostic Aids

Malfunction code P0107 will set when Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor output voltage has been 4.2 volts or less (corresponding to an absolute pressure of 16 psi [108 kPa] or less) for 4 seconds. Code P0108 will set when Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor output voltage has been 1.8 volts or less (corresponding to an absolute pressure of 6.5 psi [46 kPa] or less) for 4 seconds. Check for following possible problems

1. Poor connection between Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor and Engine/Transaxle Control Module (E/TCM) or Engine Control Module (ECM).
2. Misplaced, loose or corroded connectors terminals.
3. Stuck close EGR control valve.
4. Stuck open EGR control valve.
5. Faulty MAP sensor.
