DTC P1400 - MANIFOLD DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE (MDP) SENSOR Hyundai Sonata III рестайлинг

  1. Install scan tool. Turn ignition on and check for DTCs. If DTC P1400 is present, go to next step. If DTC P1400 is not present, problem is intermittent. See INTERMITTENTS in «TESTS W/O CODES»(ref-16659) article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MDP sensor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a DVOM, check voltage between sensor harness connector terminal No. 1 and ground. See appropriate wiring diagram in «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-16646) article. Voltage reading should be 4.75-5.25 volts. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check circuit between terminal No. 1 and ECM.
  3. Turn ignition off. Using DVOM, check continuity between sensor harness connector terminal No. 2 and ground. If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, check circuit between terminal No. 2 and ECM.
  4. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Jumper ECM harness connector terminal No. 9 to ground. Connect DVOM between MDP sensor harness connector terminal No. 3 and ground. Continuity should be present. If continuity is not present, check for open in circuit. Remove jumper from ECM harness connector terminal No. 3. Continuity should not be present. If continuity is present, check for short in circuit. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  5. Reconnect ECM harness connector. Replace MDP sensor with a known-good sensor. Clear DTC. See CLEARING CODES under Self Diagnostic System section. Retest system. If DTC resets, replace ECM with a known-good ECM. Clear DTC and retest system. If DTC resets, replace ECM.
