DTC P0443 - EVAP SYSTEM PURGE CONTROL MALFUNCTION Hyundai Sonata III рестайлинг

  1. Install scan tool. Start engine and check if DTC P0443 is present. If DTC is present, go to next step. If DTC is not present, problem is intermittent. See INTERMITTENTS in «TESTS W/O CODES»(ref-16659) article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect canister purge solenoid harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a DVOM, check voltage between solenoid harness connector terminal No. 2 and ground. See appropriate wiring diagram in «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-16646) article. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check circuit between harness connector terminal No. 2 and SFI relay. Repair as necessary.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Connect DVOM between ground and purge solenoid harness connector terminal No. 1. Jumper ECM harness connector terminal No. 5 to ground. Continuity should be present. If continuity is not present, check for open in circuit. Remove jumper from ECM harness connector terminal No. 5. Continuity should not be present. If continuity is present, check for short in circuit. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  4. Reconnect purge solenoid and ECM harness connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, activate and deactivate purge solenoid. Clicking sound should be heard from solenoid. If clicking is not present, replace purge solenoid. Clear DTC. See CLEARING CODES under Self Diagnostic System section. Retest system. If DTC resets, replace ECM.
