DTC P0130/P0136 - HO2S MALFUNCTION Hyundai Sonata III рестайлинг

Note. This test is associated with DTCs P0130 - Front HO2S and P0136 - Rear HO2S.

  1. Install scan tool. Start engine and check for DTCs. If DTC P0130 or P0136 is present, go to next step. If DTC is not present, problem is intermittent. See INTERMITTENTS in «TESTS W/O CODES»(ref-16659) article. Also check for faulty injector(s), airflow sensor, IAT sensor, BARO pressure sensor, ECT sensor or for intake manifold leak.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect affected HO2S harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a DVOM, check voltage between harness connector terminal No. 4 and ground. See appropriate wiring diagram in «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-16646) article. Battery voltage should be present. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check circuit between terminal No. 4 and ECM.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Connect DVOM between HO2S harness connector No. 1 and ground. Jumper ECM harness connector terminal No. 6 (front HO2S) or No. 7 (rear HO2S) to ground. Continuity should be present. If continuity is not present, check for open in circuit. Remove jumper from ECM harness connector. Continuity should not be present. If continuity is present, check for short in circuit. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  4. Connect DVOM between affected HO2S harness connector terminal No. 2 and ground, and then to terminal No. 3 and ground. Continuity should be present. If continuity is not present, repair open in circuit. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  5. Reconnect HO2S and ECM harness connectors. Start and warm engine to normal operating temperature. If scan tool is not used, go to next step. If scan tool is used, monitor HO2S voltage. See HO2S OPERATING VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS table. If voltages are not as specified, replace affected HO2S. HO2S OPERATING VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS Engine RPM Output (Volts) 750 0.4 Or Less 2000 0.6-1.0 4000 To 750 (1) 0.2 Or Less 750 To 4000 (2) 0.6-1.0 (1) Sudden deceleration. (2) Sudden acceleration.
  6. Disconnect affected HO2S. Using a DVOM, check resistance between HO2S harness connector terminals No. 3 and 4. Resistance should be 30 ohms or greater. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace HO2S.
  7. Apply positive battery voltage to HO2S harness connector terminal No. 4 and negative battery voltage to HO2S harness connector terminal No. 3. Connect DVOM between HO2S harness connector terminals No. 1 and 2. Start and race engine while measuring HO2S output voltage. Output voltage should be 0.6 volt. If output voltage is not as specified, replace affected HO2S.
