- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Remove the intake manifold (Refer to " «INTAKE MANIFOLD»(/hyundai/genesis/i-2011-2016/remont/exhaust/#intake-and-exhaust-system-50l) " in EM group).
- Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A). [Bank 1] [Bank 2]
- Remove the cross over fuel pipe (A).
- Remove the installation bolt (A), and then remove the sensor from the cylinder block.
