DTC P0113: INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR HIGH VOLTAGE INPUT Honda Civic GA

  1. Turn ignition on. Check IAT sensor using scan tool. If -4°F (-20°C) or less, or 5 volts is indicated, go to next step. If -4°F (-20°C) or less, 5 volts is not indicated, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. Check for poor connections or loose wires at IAT sensor and PCM connectors. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  2. Disconnect IAT 2-pin connector. Install a fused jumper wire between IAT sensor harness connector terminals. Using scan tool, check intake air temperature. If -4°F (-20°C) or less, or 5 volts is indicated, go to next step (D16Y5 engine with M/T), or go to step 4 (except D16Y5 engine with M/T). If -4°F (-20°C) or less, or 5 volts is not indicated, replace IAT sensor.
  3. On D16Y5 engine with M/T, turn ignition off. Using backprobe set, install a fused jumper wire between PCM 16-pin connector "D" terminals No. 8 (Red/Yellow wire) and No. 11 (Green/Black wire). (Схема №4) Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, check intake air temperature. If -4°F (-20°C) or less is not indicated, check for open in wiring between IAT sensor and PCM connector "D". See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If -4°F (-20°C) or less is indicated, substitute a known-good PCM and recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM.
  4. On all except D16Y5 engine with M/T, turn ignition off. Using backprobe set, install a fused jumper wire between PCM 31-pin connector "C" terminals No. 18 (Green/Black wire) and No. 25 (Red/Yellow wire). (Схема №3) Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, check intake air temperature. If -4°F (-20°C) or less is not indicated, check for open in wiring between IAT sensor and PCM connector "C". See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If -4°F (-20°C) or less is indicated, substitute a known-good PCM and recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM.
