DTC P0108: MAP SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH VOLTAGE INPUT Honda Civic GA

  1. Start engine and run at 3000 RPM with no loads and transmission in Park or Neutral until radiator fan comes on. Allow engine to idle. Check MAP sensor using scan tool. If MAP sensor reading is 30.0 in. Hg or more, go to next step. If MAP sensor reading is less than 30.0 in. Hg, failure is intermittent. System is okay at this time. Check for poor connections or loose wires at MAP sensor and PCM connectors. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect MAP sensor 3-pin connector. Install a fused jumper wire between MAP sensor harness connector terminals No. 2 (Green/White wire) and No. 3 (Red/Green wire). (Схема №6) Turn ignition on. Check MAP sensor using scan tool. If MAP sensor reading is 30.0 in. Hg or more, go to next step. If MAP sensor reading is less than 30.0 in. Hg, replace MAP sensor.
  3. Turn ignition off. Remove jumper wire from MAP sensor connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between MAP sensor harness connector terminals No. 1 (Yellow/Red wire) and No. 2 (Green/White wire). (Схема №6) If about 5.0 volts exists, go to next step (D16Y5 engine with M/T), or go to step 5 (except D16Y5 engine with M/T). On D16Y5 engine with M/T, if about 5.0 volts does not exist, check for open in Green/White wire between PCM 16-pin connector "D" terminal No. 12 and MAP sensor. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article. On all except D16Y5 engine with M/T, if about 5.0 volts does not exist, check for open in Green/White wire between PCM 31-pin connector "C" terminal No. 7 and MAP sensor. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  4. On D16Y5 engine with M/T, turn ignition off. Using backprobe set, install a fused jumper wire between PCM 16-pin connector "D" terminals No. 3 (Red/Green wire) and No. 12 (Green/White wire). (Схема №4) Turn ignition on. Check MAP sensor using scan tool. If MAP sensor reading is less than 30.0 in. Hg, check for open in Red/Green wire between PCM 16-pin connector "D" and MAP sensor. If MAP sensor reading is 30.0 in. Hg or more, substitute a known-good PCM and recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM.
  5. On all except D16Y5 engine with M/T, turn ignition off. Using backprobe set, install a fused jumper wire between PCM 31-pin connector "C" terminals No. 7 (Green/White wire) and No. 17 (Red/Green wire). (Схема №3) Turn ignition on. Check MAP sensor using scan tool. If MAP sensor reading is less than 30.0 in. Hg, check for open in Red/Green wire between PCM 31-pin connector "C" and MAP sensor. If MAP sensor reading is 30.0 in. Hg or more, substitute a known-good PCM and recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM.
