- Disconnect battery. Remove 2 nuts from intake manifold sight shield. Remove sight shield from engine.
- Disconnect PCV valve from camshaft cover. Disconnect oxygen sensor, vacuum tubes from AIR vent solenoid, and AIR vent solenoid electrical connector. Remove AIR control valve bracket. Remove nut securing AIR tube. Remove ignition coil cassette.
- Remove 4 spark plug boots. Disconnect cable harness clips at front of camshaft cover, and position cable harness aside.
- Remove camshaft cover bolts. Remove camshaft cover. Discard cover seal if there is evidence of damage, or if seal comes out of groove in cover during removal. Spark plug seals may be reused if undamaged.
