Removal & Installation (Right) Cadillac Seville V

  1. Disconnect oxygen sensor harness from clip at right camshaft cover. Raise vehicle on hoist. On Deville and Seville, remove 2 nuts attaching AIR tube onto exhaust manifold. On all models, disconnect exhaust "Y" pipe from catalytic converter. Position catalytic converter aside. Disconnect electrical connector from suspension position sensor at each lower control arm.
  2. Disconnect intermediate steering shaft from steering rack. Support rear crossmember of engine cradle with a tall screw jack. Remove 4 bolts securing engine cradle to body. Lower rear of engine cradle. Disconnect exhaust pipe from manifold and crossover pipe. Remove head-to-transaxle bracket.
  3. Remove nuts, exhaust manifold, and gasket. Discard gasket if damaged. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-98439-S38345349612001052300000) .
