Scheme 1
- Remove the cowl cover (see «COWL COVER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#exterior-trim-v6__cowl-cover-replacement) ).
- Release the brake booster vacuum hose (A) from the strut brace (B).
- Remove the nuts from the top of the damper, and remove the strut brace.
- Install the strut brace in the reverse order of removal.
Rear Wheelhouse Gusset Replacement
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body or the related parts. The left side is shown; the right side is similar.
Scheme 2
- Remove these items: Rear seat-back (see «REAR SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seats-v6) ) Rear seat side bolster (see «SEAT SIDE BOLSTER»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/seats/#seats-v6__seat-side-bolster) ) Rear wheelhouse insulator (see «REAR WHEELHOUSE INSULATOR»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim-v6__rear-wheelhouse-insulator) )
- Detach the wire harness clips (A), and remove the mounting bolts (B), then remove the rear wheelhouse gusset (C).
- Install the gusset in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.
Rear Panel Gusset Replacement
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body or the related parts. The left side is shown; the right side is similar.
Scheme 3
- Remove the trunk side trim panel (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TRUNK AREA»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim-v6__trim-removalinstallation-trunk-area) ).
- Detach the wire harness clips (A), and remove the bolts (B), then remove the rear panel gusset (C). (Scheme 3): Detaching Wire Harness Clips (A), And Removing Bolts (B) & Rear Panel Gusset (C)
- Install the gusset in the reverse order of removal.

Front Subframe Torque
After removing the subframe mounting bolts, the front subframe middle rubber mount mounting bolts, the front subframe rear stiffener mounting bolts, the rear engine mounting base bracket mounting bolts, and the rear engine mounting upper base bracket mounting bolts, be sure to replace them with new ones.

Front Subframe Alignment
Note. Align the front subframe with the subframe alignment pin.
Scheme 5
- Align the front subframe (A) in the following sequence. Lift the front subframe up to the body, and loosely install the new subframe mounting bolts (B), the front stiffener mounting bolts (C), the new rear stiffener mounting bolts (D) and the stiffeners (E). Loosely install the new subframe middle mounting bolts (F, G) securing the subframe middle mounts (H). Insert the subframe alignment pin (I) through the positioning slot (J) on the right rear stiffener, through the positioning hole (K) on the subframe, and into the positioning hole (L) on the body, then loosely tighten the subframe right rear mounting bolt. Insert the subframe alignment pin through the positioning slot on the left rear stiffener, through the positioning hole on the subframe, and into the positioning hole on the body, then loosely tighten the subframe left rear mounting bolt. Tighten the subframe mounting bolts to the specified torque values starting with the right rear subframe mounting bolt. Use the subframe alignment pin when tightening the rear side subframe mounting bolts. Check all of the subframe mounting bolts, and retighten if necessary. NOTE: Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
- Tighten the bolts securing the subframe middle mounts to the specified torque.
- After reinstalling all removed parts, check and adjust the front wheel alignment (see «WHEEL ALIGNMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/wheel-alignment/#front-and-rear-suspension-v6__wheel-alignment) ).
Rear Subframe Torque
Note. Install the rear subframe by aligning the installation positioning holes and positioning holes with the subframe alignment pin. Always replace any removed subframe mounting bolts with new ones.
