  1. Remove both front fender trims (see «ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#exterior-trim-v6__engine-compartment-cover-replacement) ).
  2. Slightly loosen the hood hinge mounting bolts (A) and the hood latch mounting bolts (B).
  3. Adjust the hood (C) alignment in the following sequence: Adjust the hood right and left, as well as forward and rearward, by using the elongated holes in the hood hinges (D). Turn the hood edge cushions (E) in or out, as necessary, to make the hood fit flush with the body at the front and side edges.
  4. Adjust the hood latch (F) to obtain the proper height at the forward edge, and move the latch right or left until the striker (G) is centered in the latch.
  5. Tighten each bolt to the specified torque.
  6. Make sure the hood opens properly and locks securely.
  7. Apply touch-up paint to the hinge mounting bolts and around the hinges, and let the paint dry.
  8. Apply multipurpose grease to the hood latch and the hood hinges as indicated by the arrows.
  9. Reinstall all of the removed parts.

Hood Seal Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the front grille.

Scheme 160: Hood Seal Replacement
  1. Remove the front grille upper molding (see «FRONT GRILLE MOLDING REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#exterior-trim-v6__front-grille-molding-replacement) ).
  2. Remove the screws, and pull out the front grille molding A to release the hooks (B) (two places) and the hooks (C) (four places) from the front grille base (D), then remove the molding and the center hood seal (E) from the grill base.
  3. Install the seal in the reverse order of removal, and push the hooks into place securely.

Hood Insulator Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the hood.

Scheme 161: Hood Insulator Replacement
  1. Detach the clips with a clip remover. Remove the hood insulator (A) by pulling it away from the hooks (B).
  2. Install the insulator in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

Hood Support Strut Replacement

Note. Have an assistant help you when removing or installing the support strut. Take care not scratch the body or the hood.

  1. Remove the pivot bolt (A) from the body.
  2. Remove the pivot bolt (B) from the hood, then remove the hood support strut (C).
  3. Install the support strut in the reverse order of removal.
