Scheme 879: Preparation

Remove

  1. the connector from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and the turbocharger (TC) control valve.
  2. the turbocharger (TC) control valve from the air cleaner (ACL) cover. Move it to one side.
  3. the inlet hose between the turbocharger (TC) and the air cleaner (ACL) cover. Warm the connections to the air cleaner (ACL) cover with a hot-air gun. This will make removal easier.
  4. the inlet hose between the air cleaner (ACL) housing and the front panel.
  5. the air cleaner (ACL) cover from the air cleaner (ACL) housing.
  6. the air cleaner (ACL) housing.

Scheme 880: Removing Torque Control Arm

Remove

  1. the screw for the torque rod mounting in the torque control arm on the engine.
  2. the screws at the suspension turrets.
  3. the torque rod.

Remove the 6 screws retaining the torque control arm.

Install the new torque control arm and tighten as shown in the illustration.

Install

  1. the torque rod.
  2. the screws for the brackets at the suspension turrets. Tighten to 50 Nm .
  3. the screw for the torque rod mounting in the bracket on the engine. Tighten to 80 Nm .
