Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification

Note. The longer cylinder head bolts must be inserted in the middle holes of the cylinder head.
Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the sequence specified -1 through 20-, starting from the inside and working toward the outside, as follows
Tighten all the bolts to 30 Nm.
Then, tighten all the bolts to 50 Nm.
Tighten all bolts an additional 90° (1/4) using a ratchet.
Afterwards, tighten all the bolts again an additional 90° (1/4) turn, using the ratchet.
Camshaft Bearing Cap Nut Tightening Sequence and Specification

A - Intake Camshaft
Install and tighten the nuts for bearing caps 5 and 9 alternately and in a diagonal sequence to 5 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.
Install and tighten the nuts for bearing caps 1 and 13 to 5 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.
Install and tighten the nuts for bearing cap 7 to 5 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.
Install and tighten the nuts for bearing caps 3 and 11 to 5 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.
B - Exhaust Camshaft
Install and tighten the nuts for bearing caps 6 and 10 alternately and in a diagonal sequence to 5 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.
Install and tighten the nuts for bearing caps 2 and 14 to 5 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.
Install and tighten the nuts for bearing cap 8 to 5 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.
Install and tighten the nuts for bearing caps 4 and 12 to 5 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.
