How to Replace the Regulator for Alternator Opel Vectra C

Remove

1. 1. Remove alternator

Important. Do not damage the components

2. 2. Clamp alternator in vice
3. 3. Detach alternator heat shield • Unscrew 3x bolt • Unclip heat shield

Important. Take care when unclipping air distribution duct. Do not damage components.

4. 4. Detach front alternator air duct (1)
5. 5. Detach rear alternator air duct (2) • Unscrew bolt, 2x nut (4) • Carefully unclip intermediate part (3)
6. 6. Remove regulator (5) • Unscrew 3 bolts (arrows)

Install

7. 7. Install regulator • Tighten 3x bolt
8. 8. Attach rear alternator air duct • Tighten bolt, 2x nut • Clip in intermediate part
9. 9. Attach front alternator air duct
10. 10. Attach alternator heat shield • Clip in heat shield • Tighten 3x bolt
11. 11. Take alternator out of vice
12. 12. Install alternator
