T03Tester Display IMMOBILISER
During this test, the security code, the engine type, the mechanical car key number and the vehicle identification number (chassis number) are programmed consecutively. This procedure is necessary when a new control unit is installed in a vehicle. If a new engine control unit is installed in a vehicle, the security code does not need to be programmed, because it is stored in the immobiliser control unit. Remaining functions (engine type, mechanical car key number and vehicle identification number (chassis number)can be programmed individually. Valid security code and mechanical car key number are shown in the car pass which is handed over to the customer on delivery of the vehicle. Important: The security code consists of a four digit number combination and can only be programmed once. Thereafter, it can be neither altered nor deleted. Proceed with great care when programming. Ignition OFF Press corresponding key in the system main menu to call up Programming functions, select the desired test and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the diagnostic tester display.
Note: The arrow keys are used to program the security code. Select the desired digit and confirm with YES. The diagnostic tester then automatically advances to the next digit. The character that can be changed is indicated by the flashing cursor. When all security code digits have been programmed confirm with ENTER. Important: The security code is always entered two times consecutively. The diagnostic tester then compares the entered codes and evaluates the result.
If the following displays appears during the test, programming has been completed successfully:IMMOBILISER PROGRAMMING COMPLETED!
The diagnostic tester automatically advances to the next submenu. Programming of the engine type: Note: The installed engine type must be selected from the list presented on the diagnostic tester.
If the following display appears at the end of the test, the test has been completed successfully.ENGINE TYPE PROGRAMMING COMPLETED!
Note: If the following display appears during the test, there is a mismatch between the selected and the actual installed engine.WRONG ENGINE TYPE SELECTED!
The diagnostic tester automatically advances to the next submenu. Programming of the mechanical car key number: Note: The mechanical car key number consists of a letter and a four-digit number combination. The arrow keys are used to program the security code. Select the desired digit and confirm with YES. The diagnostic tester then automatically advances to the next digit. The character that can be changed is indicated by the flashing cursor. When all security code digits have been programmed confirm with ENTER.
If the following display appears at the end of the test, the test has been completed successfully.MECH. KEY NUMBER PROGRAMMING COMPLETED!
The diagnostic tester automatically advances to the next submenu. Programming of the vehicle identification number (chassis number): Note: The last 10 digits of the vehicle identification number (chassis number) are stored in the control unit. The vehicle identification number (chassis number) consists of a letter and number combination.
If the following display appears at the end of the test, the test has been completed successfully.VEH. IDENT. NO. PROGRAMMING COMPLETED!
Note: Before the first programming is called up after communication has been established, you must enter the security code. The security code protects the control unit from unauthorised access. The valid code number is printed in the car pass.
