- Disconnect wiring harness plug from motor M4
- Connect motor M4 externally to battery voltage and ground
| Possible cause of fault, trouble-shooting |
1. Actuation and function of radiator fan motor M4, see function table 4.6.
This table is used to simulate actuation of motor M4. For this, remove the relevant wiring harness plug from each switch and replace the break contact or make contact by wire bridges.
2. Fuse F7/30A defective.
3. MAXI fuse F15/30A defective.
4. Fuse F17/10A defective.
5. Fuse F20/30A defective.
6. Radiator fan relay K67 defective - see test step 12.
7. Radiator fan relay K52 defective - see test step 13.
8. Radiator fan relay K51 defective - see test step 10.
9. Radiator fan relay and AC fan motor, 1st speed, K26 defective - see test step 14.
10. AC relay K6 defective - see test step 07.
11. Auxiliary fan motor M11 defective - see test step 02.
12. Coolant temperature switch S128 defective - see test step 15.
13. Coolant temperature switch S29 defective - see test step 17.

16. Lead interruption between X6 (77/bushing) and fuse F7/30 A.
17. Lead interruption between radiator fan relay K67 (4) and X6 (77/pin).
18. Lead interruption between wiring harness plug for radiator fan motor M4 (RTWS/red-white) and radiator fan relay K67 (8).
19. Lead interruption between grounding point 2 and wiring harness plug for radiator fan motor M4 (BR/brown).
