B-04, Programming Test Work Order Description Nominal Value T02 Tester Display Program Immobiliser Para>during This Test, the Security Code and the Engine Type Are Programmed. This Procedure Is Necessary When a New Control Unit Is Installed in a Vehicle. If a New Engine Control Unit Is Installed in a Vehicle, the Security Code Does Not Need to Be Programmed, Because It Is Stored in the Immobiliser Control Unit. Valid Security Code Is Shown in the Car Pass Which Is Handed Over to the Customer on Delivery of the Vehicle. Para> Note: the Security Code Is a Password That Permits Access to the Data Stored in the Immobiliser Control Unit. After Incorrect Input, There Is a Waiting Period Before the Next Attempt at Programming CAN Be Made as a Protection Against Unauthorised Access. the Diagnostic Tester Indicates the Time That Has to Elapse Before the Security Code CAN Be Entered Again. the Single Digits of the Control Unit Code Index Are Selected by Using the Cursor Keys Left/right. the Corresponding Value Is Adjusted by Using the Cursor Keys Up/down. Para> Important: the Security Code Consists of a Four Digit Number Combination and CAN Only Be Programmed Once. Thereafter, It CAN Be Neither Altered nor Deleted. Proceed with Great Care When Programming. the Security Code Is Always Entered Two Times Consecutively. the Diagnostic Tester Then Compares the Entered Codes and Evaluates the Result. Ignition off Press Corresponding Key in the System Main Menu to Call Up Programming Functions, Select the Desired Test and Confirm with Enter. Follow the Instructions in the Diagnostic Tester Display. Note: the Installed Engine Type Must Be Selected from the List Presented on the Diagnostic Tester.
