Vacuum switching valves are located in engine compartment on inner front wing panel.
Vacuum switching valve (1) (colour grey) fast idle control device.
Vacuum switching valve (2) (colour black) exhaust throttle actuator.
Vacuum switching valve (3) (colour blue) quick warming up system exhaust throttle actuator.
Remove
Hoses from vacuum switching valve.
Harness connector from vacuum switching valve.
Measure
Vacuum switching valve resistance - use ohmmeter resistance must be approximately 40 ohms at 20 °C. Replace valve if resistance is not correct.
Inspect
Apply 12 V to vacuum switching valve harness connection.
Valve is serviceable if air can flow freely through ports Y and Z with voltage applied and stop flowing when voltage is disconnected.
Install
Hoses to vacuum switching valve.
Harness connector to vacuum switching valve.
