Inspect
Align top dead centre mark on crankshaft damper pulley to pointer on timing belt cover number 1 piston to be at top dead centre on compression stroke.
Remove
Timing belt covers - see operation "Timing Belt Covers Remove and Install".
Inspect
Timing is correct if bolts(1) can be installed through holes in camshaft and injection pump pulleys and crankshaft timing marks (2) are aligned.
If timing is not correct adjust timing belt position – see operation "Timing Belt Remove and Install".
Install
Timing belt covers – see operation "Timing Belt Covers Remove and Install".
