K10B and K12B Gasoline Engines
The K10B and K12B gasoline engines have an open coolant system, which includes the heater core, throttle body, reservoir, radiator, thermostat and coolant pump. The engine coolant temperature sensor is incorporated in the thermostat body.
Cooling fan operation is under the control of both engine coolant temperature, via the engine control module, and the demands of the air conditioning system.
• Service: Use antifreeze of a specification recommended for the Agila-B.
Radiator Fan Operation – Air Conditioning off – K10B and K12B
For vehicles with manual transmission, the radiator fan has one speed and activates at a coolant temperature of 97°C.
For vehicles with automatic transmission, the radiator fan has two speeds (low and high) which are initiated at coolant temperatures of 97°C and 102°C respectively.
Radiator Fan Operation – Air Conditioning on – K10B and K12B
For vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission, when refrigerant pressure exceeds 1.1 MPa, the radiator fan operates at low speed regardless of input from the engine control module.
For vehicles with automatic transmission, if the refrigerant pressure exceeds 1.5 MPa, high fan speed is activated.

D13A Diesel Engine
The D13A diesel engine has a closed coolant system which includes the heater core, EGR cooler, degassing tank, thermostat, radiator and coolant pump. The engine coolant temperature sensor is located in the thermostat body, but is available as a separate part.
Cooling fan operation is under the control of both engine coolant temperature, via the engine control module, and the demands of the air conditioning system.
• Service: Use antifreeze of a specification recommended for the Agila-B.
Radiator Fan Operation – Air Conditioning off – D13A
The radiator fan has two speeds (low and high) which are initiated at coolant temperatures of 98°C and 103°C respectively.
Radiator Fan Operation – Air Conditioning on – D13A
When refrigerant pressure exceeds 1.3 MPa, the radiator fan operates at low speed regardless of coolant temperature. If the refrigerant pressure exceeds 1.6 MPa, high fan speed is activated.
