Manual Shaft Lever Component Installation Note

1. Align the mark of the manual shaft lever component as shown in the illustration.
2. Install the manual shaft lever component installation nut. Tightening torque 10.8-14.7 N.m {111-149 kgf.cm, 96.4-1295 in.lbf}

STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Note. The down switch is built into the audio control switch.

1. Remove the steering shift switch. (See «AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430309-S27051239062011101700000) .)
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See «DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430310-S13032094912011101700000) .)
2. Connect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF]»(ref-430294-S35932810402011101700000) .)
3. Disconnect the audio control switch connector. (See «AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-430309-S27051239062011101700000) .)
4. Measure resistance between the terminals F and C. RESISTANCE REFERENCE Test condition Resistance (ohm) Action Steering shift switch is released 1, 764-1, 836 Replace the audio control switch. (See «AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION»(ref-430309-S41386049232011101700000) .) LH up-switch is depressed 352.8-367.2 If not within the specification, replace the audio control switch. (See «AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION»(ref-430309-S41386049232011101700000) .) If there is no continuity, replace the up switch. (See «AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION»(ref-430309-S41386049232011101700000) .) RH up-switch is depressed 352.8-367.2 LH down-switch is depressed 607.6-632.4 Replace the audio control switch. (See «AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION»(ref-430309-S41386049232011101700000) .) RH down-switch is depressed 607.6-632.4
