TORQUE CONVERTER NUTS INSTALLATION NOTE
- Align the holes by turning torque converter.
- Insert a screwdriver from the starter installation hole, and lock the drive plate.
- Tighten the torque converter mounting nuts. Tightening Torque B: 34-61 N.m {3.5-6.2 kgf.m, 25-45 ft.lbf}

Scheme 157: SPRING INSTALLATION NOTE
- Install the selector lever to the manual shaft lever in such a way that the selector cable does not bear a load.
- Confirm that the end of the manual shaft lever sticks out of the end of the selector cable.

Scheme 158: OIL SEAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- Drain the ATF. (See «AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT»(ref-178052-S24716482602005061000000) .)
- Remove the drive shaft and joint shaft. See «AXLE SHAFT»(ref-166072-S27140905552004091400000) and «INTERMEDIATE SHAFT»(ref-166072-S42227048072004091300000) .
- Remove the discard the oil seal using a screwdriver.
- Using the SSTs and a hammer, tap a new oil seal in evenly until the SSTs contacts the transaxle case.
- Coast the lip of the oil seal with ATF.
- Install the drive shaft and joint shaft. See «AXLE SHAFT»(ref-166072-S27140905552004091400000) and «INTERMEDIATE SHAFT»(ref-166072-S42227048072004091300000) .
- Add ATF to the specified level. (See «AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT»(ref-178052-S24716482602005061000000) .)
