AIR FILTER INSPECTION

1. Verify that there is no damage, excessive dirt, or abnormal odor on the air filter. If there is any malfunction, replace the air filter. NOTE: The air filter cannot be reused by cleaning it with water or compressed air.

5. Remove the dashboard. (See «DASHBOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615455-S31406314522014051000000) ). CAUTION: If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise or other malfunction could occur. Always plug open fittings immediately after removing any refrigeration cycle parts.
6. Remove the bolt, then disconnect the cooler hose (LO) and cooler pipe. (Scheme 68): Identifying Cooler Hose (LO) And Cooler Pipe Mounting Bolt With Torque Specifications
7. Disconnect the heater hose.
8. Remove the blower unit. (See «BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615407-S07180625702014051000000) ). (Scheme 69): Identifying Heater Hose And Clip
9. Disconnect the drain hose. (Scheme 70): Disconnecting Drain Hose
10. Remove the nut, then remove the A/C unit. Do not allow compressor oil to spill.
11. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See «A/C UNIT INSTALLATION NOTE»(ref-615407-S14776915732014051000000) ).
12. Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See «ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615406-S41034731322014051000000) ).

EVAPORATOR INSPECTION

1. Inspect the evaporator for damage, cracks, and oil leakage. If there is any malfunction, replace the evaporator.
2. Visually inspect the fins for bending. If there is any bending, use the end of a flathead screwdriver to straighten the fins.

HEATER CORE INSPECTION

1. Inspect the heater core for damage, cracks, and water leakage. If there is any malfunction, replace the heater core.
2. Visually inspect the fins for bending. If there is any bending, use the end of a flathead screwdriver to straighten the fins.
3. Visually inspect the heater hose for deformation. Repair with pliers if there is deformation. If there is any malfunction, replace the heater core.

CONDENSER INSPECTION

1. Inspect the condenser for cracks, damage, and oil leakage. If there is any malfunction, replace the condenser.
2. Visually inspect for bent fins for clogging of foreign material. If any fins are clogged, remove the foreign material.
3. Visually inspect for bent fins. If any fins are bent, use the end of a flathead screwdriver to straighten fins.

2. Discharge the refrigerant. (See «REFRIGERANT CHARGING»(ref-615479-S35473472702014051000000) ).
3. Remove the front under cover No.1. (See «FRONT UNDER COVER NO.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-615433-S34343193522014051000000) ).
4. Drain the engine coolant. (See «ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615406-S03293741932014051000000) ).
5. Remove the following parts: Plug hole plate (See «PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615399-S02010689542014051000000) ). Air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct component (See «INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615404-S24638618012014051000000) ). Coolant reserve tank (See «COOLANT RESERVE TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615406-S37590576392014051000000) ). 7. Disconnect the block joint type pipes by grasping female side of the block with hand holding firmly then loosen the connection bolt A. (Scheme 72): Removing Condenser With Mounting Bolts And Torque Specifications
8. Remove bolt B.
9. Remove the bracket.
10. Remove the receiver/drier. Do not allow compressor oil to spill. (Scheme 73): Identifying Receiver/Drier, Bracket And Bolt CAUTION: If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
12. Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See «ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]»(ref-615406-S41034731322014051000000) ).
13. Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See «REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST»(ref-615479-S38875091672014051000000) ).
